It is the only movie in the series to be entirely released 3-D in theaters. There were only a few 3D scenes in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and they were shown only in IMAX. Interesting enough, the filmmakers were unaware that this movie would be converted to 3-D until almost the end of production. David Yates intentionally made the 3-D conversion "conservative" in terms of depth during post-production so the audience wouldn't be distracted by it.
